Metal transfer

Metal Transfer Induction Technology, also called MTIT is equipment that enables reliable transfer of molten aluminium from static reverberatory furnaces into pouring launders.

The system is based on the technology of molten metal movement by electromagnetic induction using a plane inductor. The MTIT is a specially designed transferring chamber that is possible to be installed on almost any type of reverberatory furnaces. It is only necessary to cut a hole into the wall of the existing furnace and install the MTIT chamber there. The newly equipped furnace gets very reliable technology for transfer of molten metal into pouring launders and subsequent final casting to either casting machines or continual casting equipment.

Stinchcombe also supplies brand new furnaces equipped with the MTIT.
